IB: JK-12
Diploma Programme, Grades 11–12

IB Select Program

IB Select Program

Students who decide to take the IB Select Program pathway will still complete all compulsory IB and Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) requirements, but will have more choice in choosing standard level (SL) and higher level (HL) courses. This pathway supports, in particular, students interested in focusing their course selections in a specific discipline area. For example, students interested in the Arts have the ability to create an Arts-specialized experience by taking more than two Art subjects (e.g. music, visual arts and film).

Students who choose the IB Select pathway receive an OSSD as well as an IB certificate that show the courses they have successfully completed.

The IB Select Program includes:
  • Specialized / flexible pathway
  • Core components included (CAS, Extended Essay, TOK)
  • English and an additional language
  • Subjects studied concurrently over two years
  • Up to three taken at Higher Level
  • Any number taken at Standard Level

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We wish to acknowledge this land on which 91¹ú²ú operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and go to school on this land.*

*The Land Acknowledgement may evolve as we honour our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation in partnership with Indigenous communities.

Setting the new standard for girls' education everywhere takes collective action. From all of us.
